As expected the much awaited Municipal Corporation of Delhi aka MCD Election Results are out this morning,with BJP emerging as clear winner with 184 Wards,and AAP,Congress in Second & Third Places with 46 Wards and 30 Wards respectively.

The civic polls were held on 23 April which saw a voter turnout of 53% ,The counting of votes polled in 270 wards began at 8 am.While the Congress party welcomed the mandate, the Aam Aadmi party blamed Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the party’s dismal performance and the BJP’s good show in the MCD polls. “This is not a Modi wave, but an EVM wave,” Delhi Labour Minister and senior AAP leader Gopal Rai said.

Delhi CM Aravind Kejriwal also took to his twitter for congratulating BJP on the tremendous victory

BJP however announced that the party wont celebrate this victory,dedicating the victory to the death of martyrs at Sukma Attack

Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken announced his resignation,taking moral responsibility for the defeat of congress in MCD Elections
